This website is from the Office of Educational Research and Improvement and the Office of Educational Technology at the US Department of Education. It is an online booklet that is designed to provide you with basic information about how to use the computer to find information and communicate with others. It tells you what you need to get started on the Internet and points you to some of the many interesting, helpful, and fun resources available online for parents and children.

Reading is Fundamental

This is the website for Reading is Fundamental (RIF), which provides parents with many resources to help motivate their children to read. It provides tips for reading to different age groups, has articles on improving the home/school connection, and guides parents in choosing appropriate books for children.

PBS Parents

This helpful website, PBS Parents, has many resources that focus on talking with kids, the media and children, reading with your child, strategies for understanding learning disabilities, and finding age-appropriate books for children.

Whitehouse for Kids

This site links you to The Whitehouse. Learn about the president’s pets, check out pictures from the latest events, play games and try a math challenge. You can even take a virtual tour of The Whitehouse.

One of the coolest sites for kids. Challenge your friends and parents to a math brain game. Check out the arcade, too!
