FLU / INFLUENZA

Influenza, also know as the flu, is a contagious viral respiratory illness. It usually comes on suddenly, and may include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, feeling tired, and sometimes vomiting and diarrhea. Flu viruses are constantly changing and circulating, with a peak season typically around winter. The state of New Jersey requires all pre-school students to be immunized annually for the flu, and encourages all others to immunize. Contact your child's physician or the Nurse's Office for more information.
