Summer Credit Recovery OptionS:
In an attempt to assist students in moving up to High School and/or advancing to the next grade level, Eastampton Community School will allow students the opportunity to take courses at other locations and online receiving credit for those courses completed.
Option #1
Students may take an approved course online through the Educere Company. The cost per course is the responsibility of the student. A list of approved course can be accessed through the listed link:

Upon completion of the course, the student MUST ensure final grades are sent to Eastampton Community School so the student’s transcript can be updated. Educere will automatically send finals grades to ECS. Course work must be completed prior to August 1st.
Option #2
Students may register for an online course through New Jersey Virtual School (NJVS). The cost per course is the responsibility of the student. Students must contact ECS to determine which courses are needed and to confirm the school will award credit for successfully completing the NJVS course. NJVS does not require written verification from the school.
Students are required to take the Credit Recovery version of the course. Students will need to spend 3 hours per day for each credit recovery course. Course work must be completed by August 15th.

Option #3
Students may register for an online course through The Keystone School. The cost per course is the responsibility of the student. Keystone School’s credit recovery courses are self-contained, independent study units. Students must contact ECS to determine which courses are needed and for approval.
Students in grades 6-12 participate in the Correspondence Courses. These courses contain 30-45 hours of study material. The printed course materials are mailed to the students along with a return envelope for mailing completed coursework to Keystone.
Students can expect to receive their correspondence course materials within 7-10 days of Keystone’s receipt of their application. Course work must be completed by August 1st.

Option #4
Students may register for online courses through First Children Services. The cost per course is the responsibility of the student. In order for students to participate they must have approval from ECS to take the course. Student registration forms must have an authorized school signature to be enrolled in courses.
A key feature is the monitoring process. One of First Children Services' teachers monitory each student's progress. If a student has fallen behind or has not attempted any lessons, the teacher/monitor contacts the family immediately. In addition, there is an online tutor who assists students with academic questions.
Registration begins on June 6th and closes on June 29th. Courses must be started by July 6th. Final exams begin August 8th. All courses must be completed by August 10th.

THE LEARNING ACADEMY TUTORING PROGRAM
The Learning Academy is a free tutoring service open to Burlington County children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Bachelor level teachers offer tutoring in all subjects during the school year and work to increase academic skills, develop confidence and improve attitudes toward school and learning.
Each student who attends The Learning Academy works with his or her tutor to develop an individualized plan that addresses the areas of academic difficulty and sets specific academic goals. Due to the high demand for services, priority is given to those families demonstrating financial need.
Tutoring sessions must be scheduled in advance. For more information about the program, please call the number for the location closest to you.
